The two connected houses were built in 1309 and are currently under monumental protection. They originally served as a residential building and a Jewish Synagogue. Both buildings were acquired by the current owner in 1990 and have been professionally and lovingly restored over the years. Preservable substances were refurbished and kept and new true-to-style elements installed. Among others, 2 spacious bathrooms were installed in the residential house and the former Synagogue was renovated and professionally built out. The last major renovations took place in 2015. In particular, the entire façade, both roofs and all windows were replaced by double-glazed wood and PVC windows and the terrace received a glass roof. Currently, both houses are rented very successfully to holiday guests. However, the vaulted cellar, the shop and the showroom can serve as an additional source of income. With small renovations, the former synagogue can be converted into another apartment. The large storage space above the showroom can also be converted into further living space. Whether for renting or for own use, as a holiday home the houses offer a fairy tale-like atmosphere with modern comfort.
The houses are located in the historic center (monument zone) of the touristy Mosel village Beilstein. In just a few steps you are at the river or at the marketplace, where you have a wide selection of restaurants, cafes and sun terraces. Beilstein is one of the most beautiful and popular places on the Mosel and in Germany, so that the small town is often visited during the warm season of more than 5,000 tourists a day. Beilstein is characterized by cobblestone-paved, wine-steeped streets with centuries-old winegrower's houses and half-timbered buildings. It is for sure an excellent starting point for hiking and cycling in the area and the many tourist attractions in the Central Mosel region. In nearby Cochem, there is an excellent infrastructure for visitors of all ages with rail connections, shopping centers, hotels and restaurants, secondary schools, hospital, pool and a variety of sports. It is only about 30 minutes to the A48 motorway and Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, which guarantees a good connection to and from all parts of Europe.
