The origins of this former farmhouse are not known, but they go back to the 19th century. It offers a total of four living units and a guest room with shower room. In the 80s it was then completely renovated, modernized and rebuilt. From the original substance, only the beautiful half-timbered facade and two basement walls have been preserved. The rest was completely renewed. At the same time, behind the half-timbering, in the interior, bricklaying took place. At the same time the electrical system, the water pipes, the windows and the roofing were renewed. The natural slate cladding on the facade was also renewed.

The barn, which also dates back to the 19th century, was completely gutted in the 80s. Currently, it offers a large garage with possible work area on the first floor and a large hobby room on the upper floor.

On the first floor there are two residential units, one in the residential house, the second in the rear annex (former stable). The upper floor apartment has about 100 m² living space and has a large living room with possible dining area, an interior kitchen, a bathroom with tub and shower, a guest toilet, a bedroom and a passage room, which was used as a bedroom. The bedroom and the passage room can be combined with minimal effort by removing the drywall. The kitchen can be easily relocated to the living room, as all connections are already there.

The location in Forst (Hunsrück) is very quiet, there is hardly any through traffic. The house itself is located on a dead end street where there is no through traffic. The place is served by sales vehicles with the daily necessities. A special attraction in the immediate vicinity is the Geierlay suspension rope bridge, opened in 2015, which is part of the 19th stage of the Saar-Hunsrück Climb. At 360 meters, it is the longest suspension rope bridge in Germany. The next largest village is Blankenrath, at a distance of 7 km. Here you will find a good infrastructure with stores of all kinds, doctors, pharmacy, schools, craftsmen, etc.. There is an extensive educational and cultural offer, a variety of sports and a lively club life. The Moselle wine region with its numerous tourist attractions and excursion possibilities is right on the doorstep, so there is always plenty of variety.
