Built in 1975, the hotel was acquired by the current owners in 2016 with the aim of relaunching it as a modern, high quality 4* star hotel.

Concept and future equipment
After completion of the planned investment measures, the hotel with approx. 1500 m² of economic area has the following capacities:
24-28 beds in: 2 single rooms; 5 double rooms, 4 suites and a holiday apartment with up to 4 sleeping places. All guest rooms will have a high standard of living.
In the restaurant area, the property provides for a breakfast room/restaurant with seating for approximately 30 guests. Adjacent to the breakfast room/restaurant is a large outdoor terrace, which can of course also be used. This terrace has a little more than 100 seats.
Adjacent to the breakfast room/restaurant and facing the street, a bakery shop with a café is planned. This bakery shop is fronted by another small open terrace facing the street.
During lunchtime, the café is also to be used as a self-service restaurant with a small selection of ready-made dishes from a regular butcher.
Other operational areas:
The basement of the hotel houses the building infrastructure as well as the leisure area. This consists of an attractive fitness room, a massage room, bicycle cellar for guest bicycles and rental bicycles and a wine bar with a beautiful wine cellar. There will also be a wine shop under the front terrace in cooperation with two local vintners.
An existing garage will house a motorcycle workshop in cooperation with a Harley-Davidson dealer.
The core of the leisure area, however, is a swimming pool with a water surface of approx. 50 m² with a small wellness area, sauna and infrared cabin.
The street-facing terrace is a good draw for passing bikers, commuters, cyclists and transients. The exterior view presented in the concept shows a modern and inviting hotel.
According to the existing business plan, an investment of approx. 500,000 € is still required until completion.
The hotel currently has 2 floors, an extension with a complete further penthouse floor would also be conceivable. A semi-finished staircase for this has already been installed.
Manderscheid is known as a 2-castle town and tourist destination. It is located in the Volcanic Eifel and is a tourist magnet due to its two castles beautifully situated in the valley. The Eifel has attractive hiking routes such as the Eifelsteig with a total length of 313 km.
The distance to well-known tourist centres such as Bernkastel-Kurs, Bremm (located on the Moselle) is only a few minutes via the A1 motorway. The Nürburgring is only 40 km away and motorcycle tourists like to use the Dauner Straße as an access road.
