Outside detailsIn the spacious garden you will find local fruit trees as well as palm trees and cypresses.
From the terrace, which can be entered from both the kitchen and the courtyard entrance, you can enjoy the fantastic view over the village and the Moselle.
Since all relevant supply lines have already been laid in the garden, nothing stands in the way of building an outdoor sauna.

The property has two large garages that can accommodate up to five vehicles. The inner courtyard, which is closed off with an automatic steel gate, offers enough space for any guest vehicles.

The listed Mettlacher Hof, built in 1724, was completely renovated startet in 2013 and meets the highest standards today.

The property was built in the 18th century from a donation from the Count Palatine Wilhelm von Hontheim to the Mettlach Abbey as Mettlacher Hof. It was the only building to survive the turmoil of the French Revolution. In the meantime auctioned, the house and the associated garden returned to the parish in 1880 and has been in private hands again for several years.

The inside of the building was completely rebuilt and the beams worth preserving were exposed.

The slate-covered mansard hipped roof was provided with 250 mm thick cellulose insulation in the course of the complete rebuilding; all ceilings were insulated within the floor structure according to the standard. The outer walls are made of quarry stone of considerable thickness, which must not be changed externally due to the protection of historical monuments.

Here tradition meets modernism and luxury meets functionality. The result is a unique combination and a pearl on the Mosel.

The location on the outskirts of the cosy wine village of Burg is extremely quiet. The view over the beautifully landscaped garden to the Moselle and the surrounding vineyards is something special at any time of year. In Burg itself there are rustic wine taverns and restaurants, the daily necessities are available in Enkirch, 2 km away, and in Traben-Trarbach, one of the most beautiful and popular wine villages in the Middle Mosel Valley. The art nouveau town of Traben-Trarbach has an excellent infrastructure with shops, first class hotels and restaurants, doctors, schools, thermal swimming pool and numerous sports facilities. A well-developed road network and the proximity to Frankfurt-Hahn airport ensure easy accessibility from all parts of Europe.
